Rainforest
Service Programs...

Our
Very Best Program includes:
Spring
Start-up Inspection - Service
personnel will start up and inspect your
system to check for proper performance and
coverage, trim excess grass around your
heads and valve boxes, and check your watering
schedule and battery back-ups.
Mid-season
Inspections (3 visits) - Service
personnel will cycle through your system
making adjustments, minor repairs, and recommendations
where needed. Heads and valve boxes
will be trimmed as required.
|

|
|
|
System
Appraisal (mini audit) - An
itemized list of deficiencies, recommendations,
and details of your system (including property/zone
location sketch and schedule details) will
be completed along with water cost tracking
calculations in order to help you trace
objective water savings and measure your
systems efficiency from year to year. Landscape
irrigation and water conservation are long
term requirements and the true measurement
of your systems efficiency. You will be
able to help us monitor and make seasonal
adjustments in pursuit of these two goals.
The appraisal will be conducted during an
inspection visit that best facilitates an
accurate evaluation.
|
Winterization
- Service
personnel will ensure that the
water is properly shut off,
and that the system is blown
out and left in a manner so
as to help avoid accidental
recharging with water.

System
Tune-up**
- Working hand-in-hand with the System Appraisal,
the System Tune-up brings your irrigation
system back up to standard. The Service
personnel will raise and level all heads
and valve boxes to grade, add risers or
high pop-up heads to clear any obstructions
(ie. overgrowth), secure any loose or improperly
connected wires, re-caulk foundation holes
as needed. All the components of your system
will be reconditioned to proper installation
standards. Additionally upon request, valve
boxes can be cleared out and a landscape
fabric and gravel sump added to improve
serviceability. Upgrades to plumbing, controllers,
heads etc. can be done to improve water
conservation or meet contemporary legislation.
Rain or moisture sensors can be added.
System
Audit**
- An IRRIGATION ASSOCIATION "CERTIFIED
LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION AUDITOR" will
perform a thorough system analysis. This
includes 'catch pan' water distribution
tests, component and zone water usage evaluation,
soil tests, and landscape irrigation requirements
throughout the season. An exact 'to the
minute' watering schedule, tailored to your
system, and upgrade recommendations will
be provided. A tracking system will also
be initiated to maximize your watering dollar.
**Industry
reports suggest the potential for up to
25% conservation/cost savings due to these
two services. Compound that annually to
recognize the value of these services. Rainforest
recommends that you consider a bi-annual
rotation of these two services as part of
your complete landscape maintenance plan.
Pump
Set-up and Winterization
- Incorporated with any service/maintenance
call, the service personnel will connect,
prime, and program your pump as required.
The technician will also disconnect, remove,
and winterize your pump as required. For
sand-point or pond supplied systems.

Mandatory
Provincial Government Backflow Regulation
- The
Ontario Plumbing Code requires testing of
all specified backflow prevention devices.
Pressure Vacuum Breaker, Double Check Assembly,
and Reduced Pressure Assembly backflow preventors
commonly used on inground irrigation systems
must be tested at installation, annually,
and upon repair. Legal due diligence demands
municipalities, contractors and system owners
adhere to these regulations. Non-compliance
can result in penalties (fines, disconnection
of services etc.) and legal liability for
all parties. Rainforest, as a licensed tester,
will perform the required test procedures
to verify your backflow's proper operation
and submit all applicable paperwork, including
a copy for your files. If your program doesn't
include the Backflow Preventor Test, we
recommend up-grading to the PLUS program.
